    • red rainfall warning Metro Manila

All Manila city government-run hospitals have been placed under Code White Alert as heavy rains continued to batter the capital, the Manila City government said Saturday.

Manila OIC-City Health Officer Dr. Grace Padilla reported the measure to Mayor Francisco “Isko” Moreno Domagoso.

Code White Alert places medical personnel, emergency response teams and operations centers on 24/7 standby for possible emergencies.

The city-run hospitals under the alert are Gat Andres Bonifacio Medical Center, Ospital ng Tondo, Justice Jose Abad Santos General Hospital, Mayor Ramon Bagatsing General Hospital, Ospital ng Maynila Medical Center and Sta. Ana Hospital.

The city government said evacuation centers, district welfare offices and health centers also remained on high alert as Metro Manila stayed under a red rainfall warning from the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration.
