NBA legend and 2011 Most Valuable Player Derrick Rose is heading to Cebu for a two-day celebration culminating 26 August at SM Seaside City Cebu.

"Rose Meets the Queen: Derrick Rose in Cebu" marks Rose’s third trip to the Philippines as an ArenaPlus brand ambassador and his first time visiting Cebu.

The festivities begin 25 August with an exclusive Champion’s Circle Appreciation Dinner, giving select ArenaPlus players an opportunity to meet the basketball icon.

On 26 August, the celebration opens to the public at SM Seaside City Cebu. Activities start at 11 a.m. and include basketball interactive events, giveaways, and entertainment throughout the day. Admission is free for guests 21 years old and older.

Bringing Rose to Cebu is part of a broader effort by ArenaPlus to expand major sports experiences outside Metro Manila, according to company officials.

“Sports have always been about more than what happens on the court. They bring people together and give fans a community where they can share the moments that make the game special,” Ethan William, head of ArenaPlus, said. “That’s why we want to bring experiences like this closer to fans across the country, not just in Metro Manila.”

Filipino artist Skusta Clee will perform during the afternoon of 26 August to conclude the event.
