  • VinFast has expanded its aftersales support in eastern Metro Manila after it upgraded its Marikina dealership into a full-service facility for electric vehicles.

The 500-square-meter dealership at 8 Mayor Gil Fernando Avenue in Sto. Niño, Marikina City opened in May through a partnership with Xentro Motors OPC. It now handles vehicle sales and aftersales service, with spare parts available at the same location.

VinFast calls the site a 1S Plus facility, which means the showroom now has service and parts operations in addition to sales.

The dealership displays the brand’s full battery-electric vehicle range and has three work bays, including one with a vehicle lifter. It also has the tools needed to service VinFast models.

Owners can take their vehicles to the Marikina branch for preventive maintenance, general repairs, detailing and body work. The dealership can also assist with insurance claims and renewals.

A parts warehouse at the site carries items used for routine maintenance, along with mechanical and suspension components.

Its inventory also covers collision body panels, coolant and brake fluid, which gives nearby customers access to commonly needed parts without having to visit another VinFast facility.

Charging is also available at the dealership. Two wall chargers are installed inside, while six charging stations are located outside.

The eight charging units serve VinFast owners from Marikina and nearby cities, as well as customers who visit the showroom or service center.

VinFast Philippines CEO Rhomel Franco said the full-service branch places sales and aftersales support closer to motorists in eastern Metro Manila. He added that the company plans to invest in more dealerships as its local customer base grows.

Xentro Motors CEO Noel Ignacio said Marikina needed a complete automotive facility for EV users. He said the service equipment, repair capability and on-site parts stock give motorists in the area another place to consider and maintain an electric vehicle.

Xentro Motors is backed by parent company XRC Mall Developer Inc., which is owned by Alexander M. Cruz. The group operates within a wider business network across North and South Luzon and helps VinFast build its retail and service coverage in the country.

VinFast said its Philippine dealership network has reached 36 locations. More branches are planned in Fairview, Cagayan de Oro, Pasay City, Batangas City and Kawit, Cavite, although the automaker did not give opening dates.
