ACCESS is easier in the GAC E8 HEV with its low step-in height and power-sliding doors.

COMFORT takes priority in the GAC GN8 PHEV Executive with its second-row captain’s seats and plug-in hybrid powertrain.

GAC International Philippines is presenting the MPV as an alternative to the midsize SUV for families who place more value on passenger space, easier access and cabin flexibility.

The company recently introduced three models with different powertrains and price points. The all-new GN6 uses a gasoline engine, while the E8 HEV has a hybrid system.

The GN8 PHEV Executive sits at the top of the range with a plug-in hybrid powertrain and a cabin aimed at buyers who want more comfort.

GAC said it has delivered more than 880,000 MPVs worldwide since it entered the category in the 2010s. Its Philippine lineup now covers buyers who need an affordable seven-seater, those who want better fuel efficiency and customers looking for a premium people carrier.

The GN6 GX is the entry model. Its third-row seats fold flat into the floor, which increases cargo capacity to as much as 1,100 liters. This gives owners more room for groceries, luggage and other large items when all seven seats are not needed.

Drivers also get a 360-degree high-definition camera and a set of advanced driver assistance systems. These features can help when the vehicle has to pass through narrow streets or fit into tight parking spaces.

The GN6 has a 1.5-liter turbocharged gasoline engine. It is priced at P1.298 million, although reservations made until 30 September 2026 qualify for an introductory price of P1.198 million.

Families who want a hybrid can choose between two versions of the E8 HEV. The GL has a suggested retail price of P1.858 million, while the better-equipped GX costs P1.998 million. Their introductory prices are P1.778 million and P1.918 million, respectively.

Both variants use a 2.0-liter hybrid system. GAC lists a driving range of more than 1,000 kilometers on a full tank, which should reduce the number of fuel stops during longer trips.

A low step-in height makes the E8 easier to enter than many taller family vehicles. The GX also has power-sliding doors, which can help passengers in crowded parking areas where there may not be enough room to swing open a conventional door.

Its Magic Storage seating system has 18 cabin arrangements. One of them is Tea Break Mode, which converts the rear section into an outdoor seating area. The system also lets owners adjust the cabin when they need more room for passengers or cargo.

The E8 HEV GX and GN8 PHEV Executive come with second-row captain’s chairs that have power leg rests, ventilation and massage functions. These features may be useful for elderly passengers and families who spend long hours on the road.

The GN8 PHEV Executive adds a Zero Breeze air-conditioning system, which distributes cool air through more than 1,600 micro-vents instead of directing a strong stream toward passengers. It also connects with the GAC mobile application.

Its 2.0-liter turbocharged plug-in hybrid system has a claimed combined range of up to 1,032 kilometers. The model carries a suggested retail price of P3.488 million and an introductory price of P3.338 million.

GAC supports the lineup through 30 dealerships nationwide and a local parts warehouse. The GN6 comes with a five-year or 150,000-kilometer warranty.

The E8 HEV and GN8 PHEV have the same basic coverage, while their hybrid battery, drive motor and motor control unit are covered for eight years or 150,000 kilometers. All three models also come with two years of roadside assistance.
