Some 209 evacuees we're given hot meals and health services by the Philippine Red Cross (PRC) Tarlac Chapter in the town of Camiling, Tarlac on 9 August 2026.

These evacuees fled their houses and are now staying at the Camiling Sports Complex Evacuation Center due to the heavy rainfall and flooding due to the Southwest Monsoon.

The PRC Tarlac Chapter deployed its Welfare and Health Services response teams to deliver hot meals, emergency bread, and preventive health lectures to evacuees.

According to PRC, they are serving 52 displaced families (209 individuals) from Barangay Cacamilingan Sur and Barangay Poblacion G.

The PRC team provided 209 Hot Meals, 252 Gardenia Bread Loaves, and 52 packs of 3-in-1 coffee.

The PRC provided Dengue and Leptospirosis Health Lectures with IEC materials provided to 209 individuals.

They also provided vitamins to 52 individuals, as well as over-the-counter medicines distributed to 19 beneficiaries.

The municipality of Camiling, Tarlac is currently under a Red Alert Status and an Orange Rainfall Warning due to widespread, severe flooding. Torrential rains from the enhanced Southwest Monsoon (Habagat) have caused the Camiling River to overflow its spilling level. Forced evacuations have been implemented in severely affected low-lying areas.
