ELECTRIC BYD Atto 2 EV offers a claimed driving range of up to 380 kilometers.
BYD Cars Philippines has introduced the all-new Atto 2 with a choice of battery-electric and plug-in hybrid powertrains.
The compact SUV made its local debut at the TriNoma Activity Center in Quezon City. Its lineup consists of the Atto 2 EV and two plug-in hybrid variants called the DM-i Dynamic and DM-i Premium.
The full-electric model has a claimed driving range of up to 380 kilometers. Its 12.8-inch touchscreen supports smartphone connectivity, while its vehicle-to-load function allows the battery to supply electricity to compatible appliances and other equipment.
This feature can be useful during road trips or power interruptions, when owners need an alternative source of electricity for smaller devices.
Both plug-in hybrid versions use BYD’s Super DM-i system. They can cover up to 45 km on electric power alone and have a reported combined range of 1,340 km.
BYD Cars Philippines said the combined figure came from an efficiency run conducted with the Automobile Association of the Philippines.
Each Atto 2 uses the brand’s Blade Battery. Managing director Bob Palanca said the two powertrain choices allow buyers to select either a fully electric vehicle or a plug-in hybrid with a longer combined driving range.
Cabin equipment varies by model. The EV gets a 12.8-inch touchscreen, while the two DM-i variants use a 10.1-inch display. Both systems support smartphone connectivity.
The DM-i Premium is the only variant equipped with BYD’s DiPilot advanced driver assistance system. The release did not provide a detailed list of the driver assistance features included in the local model.
BYD has set annual maintenance intervals across the Atto 2 range. This cuts the number of scheduled service visits compared with vehicles that require servicing more frequently.
Official suggested retail prices will take effect on 1 September. The Atto 2 DM-i Dynamic starts at P1.048 million, while the DM-i Premium costs P1.258 million. The Atto 2 EV is priced at P1.338 million.
BYD is also offering introductory deals and BPI financing packages until 31 August. Full financing terms were not included in the announcement.
All variants come with an eight-year warranty for the drive unit. The vehicle warranty covers six years or 160,000 km, while the Blade Battery is covered for eight years or 160,000 km.
Five exterior colors are available across the range. Breeze Green is exclusive to the EV, while Cosmos Black is limited to the DM-i models. Other paint choices include Harbour Gray, Midnight Blue and Ski White.
