The Bloomberry Cultural Foundation Inc. (BCFI), the corporate social responsibility arm of Bloomberry Resorts Corp., donated lounge furniture and coffee-making equipment to the newly inaugurated Kaamulan Convergence Hall of the Philippine Army's Civil Military Operations Regiment (CMOR) at Fort Bonifacio in Taguig City on 28 July.
The turnover ceremony was attended by Capt. Paul J. Gayanilo, vice president for Facility Security of Solaire Entertainment City, and Brig. Gen. Marces T. Gayat, commander of the CMOR. Representatives from BCFI and the military also witnessed the ceremonial handover.
The donation included sofa sets, tables, and basic coffee-making equipment intended to enhance the functionality and comfort of the newly opened facility, which serves as a venue for meetings, engagements, and coordination activities of the regiment.
According to BCFI, the donation was made in appreciation of the CMOR's continued support during the foundation's disaster relief and humanitarian missions in communities affected by natural calamities. The regiment has regularly assisted the foundation in the delivery and distribution of relief assistance in various parts of the country.
The latest initiative adds to BCFI's ongoing partnership with government institutions in support of nation-building. Earlier this month, the foundation signed an agreement with the Philippine Military Academy for the construction of a Modern Warfare Laboratory, a project aimed at strengthening the training of future military officers through advanced simulation and technology-enabled learning facilities.
