Federal Express Corp. (FedEx) and JA Philippines have named six Filipino students who will represent the country in the 2026 FedEx/Junior Achievement International Trade Challenge Asia-Pacific regional finals in Singapore this August.
The annual competition challenges secondary school students to develop business solutions for real-world international trade issues. This year’s participants created market entry strategies for AI-powered warehouse drones aimed at improving inventory management in Vietnam’s fast-growing e-commerce sector.
The Philippine delegation is composed of students from Mandaue City Comprehensive National High School, the University of San Jose-Recoletos, and Everest International Academy.
FedEx Philippines Managing Director Maribeth Espinosa said the program helps equip young Filipinos with entrepreneurial skills, global business knowledge, and the confidence to transform innovative ideas into practical solutions.
The Philippine team will compete against delegates from Hong Kong, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam.
Since its launch in 2009, the FedEx/JA International Trade Challenge has reached more than 12,000 students in the Philippines, with Filipino teams consistently placing among the region’s top performers.
