AG&P Industrial is investing in a new 85-hectare fabrication facility in Batangas that aims to strengthen the Philippines’ role in delivering large-scale energy and industrial projects worldwide.
The company officially broke ground on 24 July, 2026, for its new module fabrication yard in San Pascual, Batangas, which will have an annual fabrication capacity of 80,000 metric tons and serve global demand from the energy, power, refining, chemicals, digital, and industrial infrastructure sectors.
The facility marks a new growth phase for AG&P Industrial as it transitions from its long-running operations at the Batangas Heavy Fabrication Yard in Bauan, Batangas, which has supported the company’s delivery of complex modular and infrastructure projects for more than four decades.
AG&P Industrial President and CEO Alex Gamboa said the new facility represents a major milestone for the company’s expansion while building on its 126-year legacy.
“The groundbreaking symbolizes a major new chapter in AG&P Industrial’s history, while honoring our 126-year heritage. Our new world-class yard in San Pascual is a strategic investment for our future, with ability to execute over half-billion-dollar value projects annually from around the world,” Gamboa said.
The San Pascual yard is designed to improve productivity, safety, and project delivery by using AG&P Industrial’s proprietary Modstruction™ system, which shifts much of traditional field construction into a controlled manufacturing environment.
The company said the approach allows skilled workers to build modules under strict quality standards while reducing project costs and shortening delivery timelines. The facility will feature a dedicated wharf, advanced assembly areas, specialized load-out systems, and potential drydock capabilities to support complex international projects.
Anupam Ahuja, Managing Director of AG&P Industrial, said the investment will expand the company’s ability to serve high-value industries while strengthening supply chains.
“Our investment in the San Pascual module fabrication yard represents the turning point, a transformative milestone of the company, as we scale our global delivery capabilities built on the foundation of our solid credentials and legacy,” Ahuja said.
He added that the combination of advanced technology, skilled Filipino workers, and heavy load-out infrastructure will help position the company as a preferred partner for global infrastructure projects.
Construction of the new facility is expected to begin soon, with fabrication readiness targeted by the fourth quarter of 2026 and quayside operations expected to start by the fourth quarter of 2027.
