  • Spanish national Pablo Escudero Pardo has requested the DAILY TRIBUNE to review a 18 July 2025 news article that reported his arrest in Pasig, arguing that it could lead readers to believe he had already been found guilty of abuse.

In a letter to the newspaper, Escudero, who is being held at the Bureau of Immigration Warden Facility over an alleged immigration overstaying case, acknowledged his immigration case but stressed that the abuse allegations cited in the report have not resulted in a final court judgment.

He said the article relied on an official Bureau of Immigration news release and statements from his former partner but did not include his account or his previous concerns regarding the welfare and medical condition of their children.

Escudero stressed the allegations against him remain subject to judicial proceedings, saying that before his arrest, he was working as a professional master ham carver and artisanal sausage maker.
