Police arrested four wanted persons, including a municipal-level Top 5 Most Wanted Person, in separate law enforcement operations across La Union and Pangasinan on July 13.
In San Juan, La Union, operatives of the Aringay Municipal Police Station, serving as the lead unit, arrested a 19-year-old construction worker from Aringay on the strength of a warrant of arrest for robbery.
The operation was carried out with assistance from the Regional Intelligence Unit-1 (RIU-1), the Regional Intelligence Division (RID) of Police Regional Office 1 (PRO1), the La Union Provincial Intelligence Unit (LUPIU), and the La Union Provincial Intelligence and Detective Management Unit (LUPIDMU).
The court recommended bail of ₱36,000. The suspect is under the custody of the Aringay Municipal Police Station pending further legal proceedings.
In a separate operation in the same town, personnel of the San Juan Municipal Police Station, together with LUPIU, RID PRO1, LUPIDMU, and RIU-1, arrested a 32-year-old unemployed woman by virtue of a warrant for violation of Section 4(A)(1) of Republic Act No. 12010, or the Anti-Financial Account Scamming Act, in relation to Section 6 of Republic Act No. 10175, or the Cybercrime Prevention Act of 2012.
The court set bail at ₱90,000. She is currently detained at the San Juan Municipal Police Station.
Meanwhile, a joint law enforcement team led by the Agoo Municipal Police Station arrested a 44-year-old delivery worker in Urdaneta City, Pangasinan, for homicide under Article 249 of the Revised Penal Code.
The operation was supported by the Urdaneta City Police Station, RIU-1, the Tactical Support Company of the Regional Mobile Force Battalion 1 (TSC-RMFB1), RID PRO1, the 1st and 2nd La Union Provincial Mobile Force Companies (LUPMFC), LUPIU, and the Provincial Intelligence and Detective Management Unit of the La Union Police Provincial Office (PIDMU-LUPPO).
The court recommended bail of ₱120,000. The suspect is now under the custody of the Agoo Municipal Police Station.
Also on 13 July, police arrested the municipal-level Top 5 Most Wanted Person during an operation in Balaoan, La Union.
The operation was conducted by the Balaoan Municipal Police Station with assistance from the San Mateo Municipal Police Station, RID PRO1, LUPIDMU, LUPIU, the 1st La Union Provincial Mobile Force Company, and the La Union Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit (LUPDEU).
The 26-year-old delivery worker, a resident of Balaoan, was arrested based on a warrant for Acts of Lasciviousness under Article 336 of the Revised Penal Code. The court recommended bail of ₱180,000.
He was taken to the Balaoan Municipal Police Station for documentation and proper disposition.
Police said all four suspects remain in custody while undergoing the necessary legal procedures before being turned over to the appropriate courts.
