Singer Nina said sexual harassment and bullying remain realities in the music industry, particularly for aspiring artists hoping to break into the business.
In a recent interview, the Asia's Diamond Soul Siren urged newcomers to stay vigilant, acknowledging that such incidents continue to occur.
"Meron, nangyayari talaga 'yan... You have to be strong, and be vigilant," she said.
Nina noted that while harassment can happen anywhere, new artists are often the most vulnerable because of their desire to succeed.
She also recalled being bullied early in her career by fellow singers, saying she chose to focus on her craft instead of competing with others.
"I just sing. Let my talent prove it," she said.
Looking back, Nina said those who bullied her did not go on to become recording artists, adding that she preferred to let her work speak for itself.
