After a string of motorcades across Mindanao leading up to Holy Week, Senator Christopher “Bong” Go — along with fellow senatorial bets Atty. Jimmy Bondoc, Phillip Salvador, and representatives of other Duterte-allied candidates — hit the streets of Antipolo City on Monday, this time reaching out to voters in Southern Tagalog.

Known as an “adopted son” of CALABARZON, Go spent the day engaging directly with local communities, reinforcing his long-standing mission to bring government services closer to the people, especially those most in need.

“From the very beginning, I’ve never let go of the trust you’ve given me. All I’ve ever wanted is to serve the people — especially the poor,” Go said.

The motorcade wasn’t just for show — it was a chance for Go to share his vision of public service rooted in compassion and accessibility.

“The life of every Filipino is tied to their health,” he emphasized, underscoring the importance of improving access to quality healthcare.

If given another mandate, Go vowed to continue championing programs that focus on healthcare, social welfare, and livelihood, guided by his personal mantra: “Bisyo ko ang magserbisyo” (Public service is my passion).

Go is the principal author and sponsor of the Malasakit Centers Act of 2019 (RA 11463), which created one-stop shops in hospitals across the country to help indigent patients lower their medical expenses. There are now 167 Malasakit Centers nationwide — including in Rizal, where they operate in hospitals in Binangonan, Antipolo, Cainta, and Rodriguez.

According to the Department of Health, these centers have helped more than 17 million Filipinos to date.

On top of that, Go also pushed for the funding of over 700 Super Health Centers nationwide, 16 of which are in Rizal alone.

“Because of these, people in Rizal no longer have to suffer through heavy traffic just to get to big hospitals in Metro Manila for consultations or treatment,” he pointed out.

Go also thanked Rizal’s leaders — Governor Nina Ynares, Mayor Jun Ynares and former Presidential Adviser for Southern Tagalog Casimiro Ynares Jr. — for supporting his advocacy of malasakit and people-first governance.

The visit, which included another motorcade in Taytay, showcased Go’s hands-on approach to public service. He capped the day with a quiet visit to the Minor Basilica and Parish of St. John the Baptist in Taytay to offer prayers following the death of Pope Francis.

“To my fellow Filipinos, I will continue to serve to the best of my ability. Public service is my calling — and I believe that serving the people is a way of serving God,” Go said.
