Globe Telecom’s 2025 Integrated Report highlights wider 4G coverage, lower data and broadband prices, and faster internet speeds as it pushes digital inclusion across the Philippines, while advancing sustainability with reduced greenhouse gas emissions and higher renewable energy use.
Globe Telecom continued to expand network coverage and lower connectivity costs in 2025 as part of efforts to strengthen digital inclusion while investing in more resilient and sustainable infrastructure, according to the company's latest integrated report.
In its 2025 Integrated Report titled “Foundations for the Future: Building Resilience Through a Connected Nation,” Globe said its 4G network now covers 96.41 percent of the Philippine population, extending access to underserved and geographically isolated communities.
The telecommunications company also reported significant reductions in data and broadband costs, helping make digital services more affordable for Filipinos.
Between 2019 and 2025, the price per gigabyte of Globe's most popular mobile data plans fell by nearly 60 percent, including a 17 percent decline from 2024 to 2025. The company added that prepaid fiber rates dropped by 50 percent from 2022 to 2024, while its lowest postpaid fiber plan was reduced by 75 percent. Customers now receive internet speeds four times faster than those offered at the same price in 2022.
Globe said the investments form part of its broader strategy to strengthen operational resilience and expand access to digital services as connectivity becomes increasingly essential for work, education, business, and emergency communications.
The company likewise reported progress in its sustainability initiatives, posting a 15 percent year-on-year reduction in Scope 1 and Scope 2 greenhouse gas emissions and a 9 percent reduction in Scope 3 emissions in 2025, exceeding its annual reduction targets. Renewable energy accounted for 34 percent of Globe's total energy consumption during the year, keeping the firm on track toward its target of reaching 42 percent renewable energy use by 2030.
Globe Chief Sustainability and Corporate Communications Officer Yoly Crisanto said sustainability remains central to the company's long-term strategy.
“Our responsibility goes beyond delivering connectivity. As digital access becomes more essential in people’s everyday lives, we need to ensure that the way we grow our business also strengthens resilience, creates long-term value, and contributes positively to communities and the environment,” Crisanto said.
The company said it has also begun aligning its disclosures with International Sustainability Standards Board standards, including IFRS S2 Climate-related Disclosures, while expanding sustainability reporting and governance initiatives.
Globe said its integrated report reflects efforts to balance network expansion, affordability, climate action, and long-term value creation as digital access becomes increasingly vital to Filipinos nationwide.
