The University of the Philippines (UP) remained the country's highest-ranked higher education institution in the latest QS World University Rankings 2027 released by London-based higher education analytics firm Quacquarelli Symonds.
UP placed =402nd among 1,504 universities worldwide, earning an overall score of 38. The QS rankings evaluate institutions based on research quality and volume, employability and outcomes, internationalization, learning environment and sustainability.
Five Philippine universities made this year's rankings. Following UP were Ateneo de Manila University (=581), De La Salle University (751-760), University of Santo Tomas (951-1000), and Adamson University (1201-1400).
