The Philippines’ strategic push to become a leading destination for sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) investments is playing up with the partnership of the government and a key non-profit organization.
The Island Skies Alliance (ISA), a non-profit organization dedicated to aviation decarbonization, had signed separate memoranda of understanding (MoU) with the Board of Investments (BoI) and the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) to collaborate in accelerating the Philippines’ transition toward low-carbon aviation by developing the country’s SAF ecosystem.
Through ISA’s global industry network and technical expertise, it will strengthen the SAF value chain while advancing aviation decarbonization across the Philippines under the MoU with BOI and CAAP.
“Investing in SAF is investing in the future. The Philippines has all of the elements present to be a global hub, a world leader when it comes to Sustainable Aviation Fuel,” Trade Undersecretary and BoI managing head Ceferino S. Rodolfo said during the signing of the MoU with ISA chief executive officer Junard J. Cruz.
