Man claiming to be a 'general' pointed a gun at a motorist

Mandaluyong police are probing a viral road rage incident where a man claiming to be a ‘general’ was caught on video cocking and pointing a gun at a motorist. MMDA’s Gabriel Go condemns the act, urges stricter gun ownership rules, and calls for accountability as authorities review CCTV, videos and witness accounts.
The Mandaluyong City Police Station is currently investigating a viral video showing a man, who identified himself as a general, drawing and pointing a gun at a motorist.
It can be seen in the video that the man first cocked his gun before crossing over to confront the parked vehicle and arguing with its driver.
In one scene, the man became annoyed because the driver was arguing with him, claiming to be a general, and in the end, cursed at the driver and pointed a gun at him.
MMDA Special Operations Group Chief Gabriel Go reacted on social media, stating that even if the driver was illegally parked, it was still not right to pull a gun on the motorist.
According to Go, if the person in the video is indeed a general, they should have a higher level of tolerance and be responsible with owning a gun, and it should not be used to intimidate others.
Go further emphasized that the self-proclaimed general should be punished, and suggested that it is time to review the law regarding gun ownership.
The Mandaluyong City Police Station has issued an official statement, saying they are already investigating the incident and reviewing the CCTV footage, other videos, and eyewitness accounts of the event.
"We would like to clarify that our investigators are already on the ground to identify the parties involved and to verify the details surrounding the incident," the Mandaluyong police said in a statement
"We are currently in the process of reviewing the footage and gathering statements from witnesses to determine the facts, including the legality of the firearm and the circumstances that led to the confrontation," it added.
