Police arrested seven wanted individuals, including three listed as most wanted persons, during a coordinated “Warrant Day” operation across northern Metro Manila, authorities announced.
Acting Northern Police District (NPD) director Brig. Gen. Benliner L. Capili said the operations were carried by various district units and local police stations.
The sweeps resulted in the arrest of three most wanted persons and four other wanted individuals.
Among those apprehended was a 27-year-old woman captured during a joint manhunt in San Luis, Pampanga, by operatives from the district’s anti-carnapping unit.
She was arrested on a warrant face-stamped with six counts of violating the country’s bounced check law, known as Batas Pambansa Blg. 22. The warrant was issued Monday by the Manila Metropolitan Trial Court Branch 3, which recommended bail at P36,000 for each count.
In Navotas City, local warrant and subpoena officers arrested a 44-year-old man facing 66 counts of falsification by a private individual.
The suspect was taken into custody based on a warrant issued Monday by the Navotas Metropolitan Trial Court Branch 118. The court set bail at P36,000 per count. He remains held at the Navotas City Police Station custodial facility.
A third major arrest occurred in Caloocan City, where police tracking teams apprehended a 30-year-old man wanted for illegal drug possession.
His arrest warrant, issued 19 June by the Caloocan Regional Trial Court Branch 127, alleges violations of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. The court recommended bail at P200,000.
All suspects were informed of their constitutional rights and underwent mandatory medical examinations before being processed for the formal return of their arrest warrants to the issuing courts, police said.
