The Palace on Saturday dismissed reports that President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. had been taken to the hospital, affirming that he remains in good health and is actively working.
Palace Press Officer Claire Castro clarified that the president was attending a private meeting with the Presidential Management Staff (PMS) on Saturday morning.
“He is well, healthy, and working even on a Saturday,” Castro said in a message to reporters via Viber.
The statement comes amid circulating online claims that Marcos had been brought to St. Luke’s Medical Center.
Castro did not provide additional details regarding the origin of these reports.
This is not the first time Marcos’ health has been the subject of public attention. On 21 January 2026, he was hospitalized for one night for medical observation and was diagnosed with diverticulitis, a non-life-threatening inflammation of pouches in the colon often linked to stress and aging.
Five days later, the Palace confirmed that the president’s schedule had returned to normal.
Malacañang seeks to quell ongoing speculation about the president’s well-being, emphasizing that he continues to fulfill his official duties without interruption.
