
Del Monte Golf Club secured its third consecutive Seniors crown in the 77th Philippine Airlines (PAL) Interclub, capping a dominant run with a blistering 150-point final round at South Pacific Golf and Country Club in Davao City on Thursday.
Defending champions Del Monte powered through, led by Raul Miñoza — younger brother of golf legend Frankie Miñoza — who fired 54 points on two birdies and two bogeys. Arsenio Mondilla redeemed a prior non-counting score with 53 points, while Leon Maghamil added a steady 43, propelling their daily total to 150 and overall championship score to 599 points.
Canlubang mounted a fierce rally to claim second place at 589 points, matching Del Monte’s final-round output. Abe Rosal anchored the Sugar Barons with 53 points, backed by Damasus Wong’s 49 and Rolando delos Santos’ 48.
Luisita, trailing Del Monte by just two points entering the day, struggled with no player topping 49 points. Benjie Sumulong paced the Tarlac squad with 49, followed by Ferdie Barbosa, with either Rolando Punzalan or Marvin Capparos contributing 43 to round out scoring.
