Smartphone cameras have long struggled in live concert settings, where harsh spotlights, extreme contrasts and long shooting distances often result in blown-out faces, digital noise and blurry zoom shots.

vivo is positioning its upcoming V70 as a solution to that problem.

Ahead of its official launch on 28 February 2026 at 5 p.m. via the vivo Philippines Facebook page, the company highlighted the device’s upgraded AI Stage Mode, designed specifically for capturing concerts and large-scale live events.

According to vivo, the new AI Stage Mode uses intelligent scene recognition and advanced image processing to handle rapid lighting shifts and moving subjects common in stage environments.

The feature stabilizes zoom up to 20×, allowing users to capture photos and videos even from the back rows. At 10× zoom and beyond, vivo claims facial details remain defined while blown highlights are minimized and image noise is reduced.

AI Stage Mode works alongside the device’s 50-megapixel ZEISS Super Telephoto Camera, supported by vivo’s AI Image Enhancement Algorithm. The company said this combination sharpens detail rendering and keeps performers as the focal point despite complex lighting conditions.

The V70 also introduces 4K 60 frames-per-second video recording — a first for vivo’s V Series. The higher frame rate is designed to deliver smoother motion capture, particularly useful for documenting choreography, dynamic stage performances and festival-scale productions.

Complementing its video capabilities is a new AI Audio Noise Eraser. The feature detects and isolates different sound types, allowing users to selectively reduce unwanted background noise during post-editing.

The device targets concertgoers and content creators who rely on smartphones to document live events. By combining optical hardware with AI-driven processing, vivo aims to deliver clearer zoom shots, improved lighting balance and more stable recordings in environments traditionally challenging for mobile cameras.

vivo has not yet disclosed full specifications, pricing or availability. More details are expected during the livestreamed launch event later this month.

The V70 enters a competitive mid-to-premium smartphone segment where camera performance — particularly in low light and high-contrast situations — has become a key differentiator among brands.
