GABALDON, Nueva Ecija – Troops from the 91st Infantry (Sinagtala) Battalion, operating under the supervision of Joint Task Group 7-2 (JTG 7-2), have successfully recovered assorted food supplies believed to belong to remnants of dismantled Communist Terrorist Groups (CTGs).

Brigadier General Eugenio Julio C. Osias IV, PA, Commander of the 703rd Infantry Brigade and JTG 7-2, disclosed Wednesday that the discovery was made during deliberate security operations in Barangay Cuyapa on February 17, 2026.

The recovered items included two (2) blue gallons containing an estimated 50 kilograms of rice, three (3) bottles of fish sauce, one (1) plastic bottle of cooking oil, and five (5) kilograms of white sugar. All items were properly inventoried and turned over to authorities for disposition.

"This development will directly hinder the ability of dismantled groups like the Komiteng Rehiyon Gitnang Luzon (DKRGL) and KLG Narciso to regroup and re-establish their presence in Central Luzon," Osias said in a statement.

Osias also commended his troops for their vigilance. "This accomplishment highlights our relentless efforts to ensure that dismantled communist terrorist groups will no longer regain strength nor re-establish their logistical networks within our area of responsibility," he added.

He further emphasized that security operations are designed not only to neutralize threats but also to safeguard communities and foster an environment conducive to development, public safety, and economic growth.

He assured that the Philippine Army continues its steadfast commitment to protecting the people and maintaining the gains achieved through the government’s whole-of-nation approach toward lasting peace and progress in the region.
