The Department of Agrarian Reform shared that 660 Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries (ARBs) in Isabela are set to benefit from its solar pump project in a post on their social media platforms on Tuesday.
Based on the government’s initiative to improve sustainability despite the constant change of climate and droughts, the DAR provided 450-watt solar pumps amounting to P1.197 million to three Agrarian Reform Beneficiary Organizations (ARBOs).
Among the officials of three ARBOs present in the event, Jerry B. Reginaldo of the Isabela Multi-Purpose Cooperative said that the continued support of the government would greatly increase their livelihood.
The municipality of Isabela is widely recognized by multiple sources as the top corn-producing province in the Philippines with the Isabela government revealing that it produces 21 percent of the annual yellow corn production and 15 percent of yearly rice supply in the country.
In the most recent Annual Financial Report by the Commission on Audit for 2024 released in December of 2025, Isabela was touted as the seventh highest revenue producing province in the country at P6.933 million pesos.
