Five municipalities in Tarlac have officially secured the prestigious Drug-Free Workplace (DFW) Certification by the Drug-Free Workplace Committee Region III held at the Royce Hotel in Clark Freeport, Pampanga on February 10, 2026.
According to the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) Tarlac, the towns of Anao, Capas, Concepcion, Gerona, and Victoria received the DFW certification following an initial deliberation with the DFW Regional Team.
The DFW Regional Team verified that these LGUs satisfactorily complied with all parameters set under Joint Memorandum Circular No. 01, s. 2024, outlining the guidelines for implementing the Drug-Free Workplace Certification Program for national government agencies and LGUs in Central Luzon.
Receiving the certificates on behalf of their respective municipalities were the Local Chief Executives, Municipal Health Officers, Municipal Human Resource Management Officers, and Municipal Local Government Operations Officers of the five awardee LGUs.
DILG Tarlac’s Provincial Director Zotico Gerson A. Villanueva Jr. witnessed the event, showing his support to the commitment made by the LGUs toward administrative excellence and safe working environments.
This milestone highlights the collective commitment of Anao, Capas, Concepcion, Gerona, and Victoria to championing a healthy, safe, and drug-free work environment for their employees and constituents.
