The Philippine National Police (PNP) sent a strong warning to cybercriminals after arresting 108 individuals, filing 211 cases, and rescuing 20 victims in January 2026, the Anti-Cybercrime Group (ACG) reported.

PNP chief General Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr. said online crimes carry real-world consequences and will be met with decisive law enforcement action.

Of the total arrests, 38 were carried out through the service of warrants, 67 through entrapment operations, and three during the execution of Warrants to Search, Seize, and Examine Computer Data (WSSECD).

Authorities also rescued 20 victims during the operations, including children who were immediately referred to the appropriate agencies for protection and intervention.

To strengthen prevention, the ACG conducted 1,291 cyber patrolling operations nationwide to monitor online spaces and deter criminal activity. The group’s Digital Forensics Unit also processed 78 requests for digital examinations to support evidence gathering and case buildup.

In addition, police executed 102 cyber warrants across the country, including 96 Warrants to Disclose Computer Data, five WSSECDs, and one Warrant to Examine Computer Data.
