AXA Philippines made its debut at ART SG this January, joining the global contemporary art fair as part of a unified Southeast Asian presence by the AXA Group.
While AXA XL returned to ART SG for its fourth straight year, AXA Philippines joined other regional entities — including AXA Thailand, Krungthai-AXA Life, and AXA Insurance Indonesia — marking a broader regional collaboration aimed at supporting the creative ecosystem in Southeast Asia.
AXA’s participation was anchored on a collaboration with internationally acclaimed artist Cyril Kongo, who created an exclusive artwork for ART SG 2026. The piece explores themes of boundless possibility and positive impact, continuing a creative partnership between AXA and Kongo that began in Paris more than a decade ago.
Beyond the fair, AXA said its engagement extends to social impact initiatives, with the AXA Foundation for Human Progress supporting selected child protection programs across Southeast Asia, linking artistic expression with community action.
For AXA Philippines, the ART SG debut signals its growing role in the regional art and high-net-worth ecosystem and reflects the brand’s push for purpose-led engagement.
“At its core, general insurance is about protecting what people value most, so they can move forward with confidence,” said Gael Lapie, chief general insurance officer of AXA Philippines. “Guided by our purpose to act for human progress, our participation in ART SG reflects how protection can enable creativity, preserve cultural expression, and support communities.”
AXA said its presence at ART SG positions the company not just as a sponsor, but as a cultural partner that views art as a catalyst for progress and community connection.
