Filipino designer Lyle Ibañez participated at Harbin Fashion Week (HFW) 2026 in Harbin, China, marking a continued presence at the international event held in West Red Square. The prestigious event officially opened last January 2026, featuring a diverse roster of international designers from over 20 countries.
For 2026, Ibañez makes a comeback (from HFW last May 2025) and presented a collaborative showcase titled “Lyle Ibañez X Celestina,” featuring the coveted artisan pieces of Philippine fashion icon and bag designer Tina Marisela Ocampo.
The luxe-wear designer’s stunning collection showcased a masterclass in material manipulations and refined narrative of form and texture. It was a visionary couture statement of elevated craftsmanship, emphasizing structure and precise tailoring that transformed garments into complete masterpiece creations. Outstanding interpretation of Philippine traditional fabrics were reimagined with contemporary sophistication. The show integrated the distinct, high-fashion sensibilities of Celestina — creating a refined dialogue between accessories and apparel.
In a season of global convergences, Ibañez once again proves that Filipino artistry is a language understood by the world. His collaboration with the iconic Tina Maristela Ocampo transcends a mere runway moment, evolving into a poetic dialogue between structure and soul. As traditional weaves are reinterpreted through the lens of contemporary sophistication, Ibañez does more than showcase a collection; he defines a new international chapter where heritage is not just preserved, but luxewear profoundly reimagined.
