A drug suspect was arrested by operatives of the San Mateo Municipal Police Station following a buy-bust operation in Barangay Silangan, San Mateo, Rizal, on Monday night, 2 February.
The suspect was identified only as alias “Ace,” 28, a construction worker and a resident of the barangay.
Authorities confiscated three heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing suspected shabu weighing approximately 31.32 grams, with an estimated standard drug price of P212,976.
Also seized from the suspect were one mobile phone, a pink coin purse, and an undetermined amount of buy-bust money.
The suspect is facing charges for violation of Sections 5 and 11 of Republic Act No. 9165, otherwise known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
The arrested suspect is currently detained at the San Mateo Municipal Police Station for documentation and proper disposition, pending the filing of the appropriate charges.
