Red Jade, the Chinese restaurant at The Manila Hotel, is marking the Lunar New Year with a curated dining lineup to welcome the Year of the Fire Horse, featuring classic Chinese dishes alongside new seasonal offerings.
For the celebration, Red Jade is serving an expanded à la carte menu that includes signature dishes such as Imperial Peking Duck, lapu-lapu in truffle sauce, scallops with duck liver in foie gras sauce, and shrimps with almond flakes.
Dim sum selections remain a centerpiece of the menu, with traditional favorites such as har gao, ham sui kok, xiao long bao, and pork and shrimp siomai. In time for the Lunar New Year, the restaurant has also introduced new items, including sea bass dumplings, deep-fried suahe Beijing style, braised sea bass and turnip cake with morel mushroom in black truffle sauce, and glutinous rice rolls with red bean paste.
In keeping with tradition, Red Jade is offering tikoy in red bean and almond flavors, priced at P1,288 per box. The Lunar New Year staple is available for takeout and gifting, symbolizing prosperity and good fortune for the year ahead.
Vegetarian diners are also accommodated with a dedicated Vegetarian Set Menu, featuring dishes such as vegetarian Peking duck, Dong Pao tofu, vegetarian hot and sour soup, mushroom fortune bao, and chilled coconut jelly with avocado.
For group celebrations, the restaurant offers private dining rooms that can accommodate up to 30 guests, catering to family gatherings, business meetings and festive occasions during the Lunar New Year season.
