UnionBank of the Philippines, in partnership with GMG Productions, has brought Les Misérables: World Tour Spectacular to Manila, offering Filipino audiences a reimagined concert version of the globally acclaimed musical.

UnionBank, the show’s official sponsor, recently joined the Gala Night celebration at The Theatre at Solaire, which was attended by international Broadway icon and Tony Awardee Lea Salonga, alongside Rachelle Ann Go and Red Concepcion. Salonga and Concepcion portray the Thénardier couple, while Go reprises her well-known West End role as Fantine.

The production features a cast of 110 Filipino and international performers and presents the classic story through sweeping orchestral arrangements, powerful vocal performances, and evocative lighting. During the gala, UnionBank joined theater enthusiasts, influencers, and music fans in experiencing what organizers described as a bold new take on a story of love, sacrifice, and resilience.

Les Misérables: World Tour Spectacular marks the 10th collaboration between UnionBank and GMG Productions. Past partnerships have included major international productions such as Hamilton, Miss Saigon, and Dear Evan Hansen, bringing award-winning theater to local audiences and reinforcing UnionBank’s push to offer experiences beyond traditional banking.

UnionBank cardholders were given exclusive privileges for the now sold-out Manila run. Prior to the public ticket sale in August 2025, cardholders received pre-sale access and a 10% discount, allowing them to secure premium seats ahead of general buyers.

“Our partnership with GMG has allowed us to provide our valued customers with memorable experiences through productions the elevate Manila’s entertainment landscape,” said Ana Delgado, chief executive officer of UnionBank. “We look forward to this continued collaboration and co-creating occasions that delight our current and future cardholders.”

The Manila staging opens UnionBank’s lineup of entertainment offerings for 2026. Upcoming shows under the partnership include Jesus Christ Superstar in May 2026 and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory: The New Musical in July 2026.

Les Misérables: World Tour Spectacular Manila runs until 1 March 2026.
