Following its venue signing at the Smart Araneta Coliseum, Nicole Cordoves has been appointed pageant director of Mr. and Miss Chinatown Global for its 2026 edition, with Cassandra Chan named assistant pageant director and pageant manager. The leadership change marks a new phase for the cultural pageant produced by CHiNOY TV.
Cordoves, a Binibining Pilipinas alumna who was crowned Miss Grand Philippines 2016 and Miss Chinatown 2014, is also the longest-running host of Binibining Pilipinas, having led six consecutive editions at the Araneta stage. She now assumes a broader role overseeing the pageant’s second year, which aims to develop cultural ambassadors from Chinese communities worldwide.
Chan, Miss Chinatown Philippines 2022 and Miss World Philippines Charity 2022, works alongside Cordoves in managing and mentoring candidates throughout the competition.
Organizers said the appointments build on the pageant’s inaugural year, which drew participants from the United States, Malaysia, the Philippines, Australia, China, Singapore, and Hong Kong. They have also forged ties with Hotel 101-Manila to become the official residence of the candidates.
Mr. and Miss Chinatown Global 2026 began on 28 January and culminates in the Winners Night on 10 February at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Cubao, Quezon City.
