The Land Transportation Office (LTO) has issued show-cause orders to a motorcycle rider filmed performing a dangerous stunt on Commonwealth Avenue and a sport utility vehicle driver involved in a viral road rage incident.
In a video circulating on social media, a rider was seen lying face down on his motorcycle in a “Superman” position, reportedly to increase speed through aerodynamics. The rider was also observed traveling without a helmet, wearing flip-flops, and operating a motorcycle with a backfiring exhaust pipe.
The LTO has directed the rider and the vehicle’s registered owner to appear before the Intelligence and Investigation Division on Friday. They must submit a notarized explanation as to why they should not face administrative charges, including reckless driving and violations of helmet and footwear requirements.
