The Philippine National Police released the Anniversary Bonus to 220,400 qualified personnel in time for the celebration of PNP Day, PNP Chief Jose Melencio Nartatez Jr. said Thursday.

Nartatez said he authorized the release of the Anniversary Bonus for Fiscal Year 2026 in accordance with existing laws, rules and fiscal directives. Qualified personnel received ₱3,000 each, a benefit granted once every five years regardless of transfer from one government entity to another.

A total of 220,400 PNP personnel benefited from the release, including uniformed personnel, non-uniformed personnel and cadets of the Philippine National Police Academy.

The PNP chief said the bonus was credited directly to the recipients’ Land Bank of the Philippines ATM accounts to coincide with the PNP Day anniversary.

“Ang Anniversary Bonus na ito ay simpleng paraan ng pagkilala sa inyong tapat na serbisyo at sakripisyo. Hindi man kalakihan ang halaga, pero ito ay taos-pusong pasasalamat ng inyong PNP,” Nartatez said.

He emphasized that the welfare of police personnel remains a priority under his leadership.

“Kapag inaalagaan natin ang kapulisan, mas nagiging handa at motivated sila na maglingkod nang maayos sa taumbayan. This is about fairness, dignity, and recognizing years of honest work,” he added.

Nartatez also acknowledged the collective efforts of PNP units that ensured the smooth and timely release of the benefit, noting that strong institutional support is crucial to sustaining morale and professionalism within the organization.

As the PNP marked another year of service, Nartatez said the leadership reaffirmed its commitment to reforms that place both the people and police personnel at the center of governance under the banner: Bagong PNP para sa Bagong Pilipinas: Serbisyong Mabilis, Tapat at Nararamdaman.
