Hall of Fame promoter Bob Arum has got good news for top ranked Filipino super-featherweight Charly Suarez.

Arum: Navarrete-Suarez rematch soon
Charly Suarez will have to exercise more patience and hope Mexican warrior Emanuel Navarrete survives his unification super-featherweight showdown with his heavy-handed compatriot Eduardo Nuñez late next month in Arizona.
Navarrete was mandated to give Suarez a rematch following the controversial ending to their first clash last year in San Diego, California.
The California State Athletic Commission even overturned Navarrete’s technical decision win to a No-Contest after a botched job by the referee.
The World Boxing Organization likewise sided with Suarez and ordered Navarrete to grant the Filipino an immediate rematch.
But it didn’t play out as advertised as Navarrete’s promotional team and Nuñez’s camp found a way to forge a deal.
Navarrete, however, insists that he will fulfill his obligation to Suarez after he takes care of business with Nuñez, who has the International Boxing Federation strap.
“I’m really appreciative of Charly Suarez and his team working with us to allow this fight to happen,” Navarrete said in a piece ran by Boxingscene.
“This is a business and I know he could have stood his ground and demanded an immediate rematch instead of stepping aside,” he said.
Moved by Suarez’s gesture, Navarrete has vowed to make it up with him.
“This (fight with Nuñez) was a fight that I badly wanted but also, I know I owe Suarez that rematch after this. This year will be focused on collecting belts, but it’s also important to settle unfinished business with Suarez.”
Suarez, meanwhile, is making sure he doesn’t get affected by the setback as he continued to work out under the supervision of his long-time buddy and lead trainer Delfin Boholst.
