Global menswear brand HLA transformed Tomas Morato into a fitness hub Sunday, drawing more than 500 participants for a morning of dance and community movement.
The HLA Dance Fitness Community Event, held from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m., was organized in partnership with the Quezon City government. The activity served as a highlight for the city’s "QC Car-Free Carefree Sundays," a program led by Mayor Joy Belmonte that converts major thoroughfares into pedestrian zones for recreation.
Former Sexbomb Girls member Izzy Trazona-Aragon led the high-energy routines, joined by members of the P-pop group 1st.One. The crowd included local residents, city officials and social media influencers.
Monica Pangilinan, HLA Philippines advertising and promotion manager, said the event aligns with the brand’s focus on youth and vitality.
"The efforts of the Quezon City government to reclaim our streets for health and mobility resonate deeply with HLA’s mission to encourage an active lifestyle," Pangilinan said. "This isn't just about fashion; it's about the well-being of the community that wears our brand."
The event was supported by the Quezon City Task Force Disiplina, led by action officer Deck Pelembergo, alongside Assistant City Administrator Alberto Kimpo and technical working group head Ma. Margarita Mejia. Vida Philippines also served as a sponsor.
HLA officials indicated they are seeking a long-term partnership with the city government to collaborate on future wellness programs and sports activities for residents.
