Three individuals were apprehended by operatives of the San Mateo Municipal Police Station after seizing over 28 grams of suspected shabu during a buy-bust operation in Barangay Silangan, San Mateo, Rizal province on Tuesday morning.
The arrested suspects were identified only by their aliases as Jano, Benjie, and Dodoo. They are considered as individuals who are actively involved in the sale and use of illegal drugs in the said barangay.
Confiscated from the suspects were five pieces of heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing suspected shabu weighing more or less 28 grams, with a standard drug price of P190,400.
Also recovered from the suspects were undetermined amount of buy-bust money, recovered money, a coin purse, and a cellphone.
The suspects are now facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. They are currently detained at the San Mateo Municipal Police Station custodial facility while the pertinent documents are being prepared for the filing of cases in court.
