

The Southern Police District’s District Special Operations Unit (DSOU) served two separate warrants of arrest on Sunday, 18 January, against individuals wanted for violations of Republic Act No. 9262, or the Anti-Violence Against Women and Their Children Act, in separate operations in Pasay City and Taguig City.
At about 10:25 a.m., DSOU personnel, acting as the lead unit, in coordination with the District Intelligence Division, the Intelligence Section of the District Mobile Force Battalion, and the Warrant and Subpoena Section of the Pasay City Police Station, served a warrant of arrest against alias Jomar, 29, along FB Harrison Street in front of Pasay City Hall.
The suspect was apprehended by virtue of a warrant issued by Judge Christian Pascual Castaneda of the Pasay City Regional Trial Court Branch 109 for violation of Section 5(i) of Republic Act No. 9262 under Criminal Case No. R-PSY-26-00025-CR, with a recommended bail of P72,000.
Later that day, at around 12:10 p.m., another DSOU-led operation, together with the District Intelligence Division, the Intelligence Section of the District Mobile Force Battalion, and the Warrant and Subpoena Section of the Taguig City Police Station, resulted in the arrest of alias Luigi, 28, in Barangay Western Bicutan, Taguig City.
The suspect was apprehended by virtue of a warrant issued by Judge Noel Lindog, presiding judge of Branch 2, Family Court, Fourth Judicial Region, Lipa City, Batangas, for violation of Section 5(i) of Republic Act No. 9262 under Criminal Case No. 12-1368-2025, with a recommended bail of P72,000.
Following their arrest, both suspects were brought to the District Special Operations Unit office for documentation and the subsequent return of the warrants to their respective courts of origin.
