Mahigit P8.4 milyon na humanitarian aid ang naipamahagi ng Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) sa lalawigan ng Albay para sa mga pamilyang naapektuhan ng pag-aalburuto ng Bulkang Mayon.
Ayon kay DSWD Assistant Secretary Irene Dumlao, ipinamahagi ang tulong sa mga local government unit at sa mga pamilyang nananatili sa evacuation centers.
Sa kasalukuyan, tinatayang 1,100 pamilya o humigit-kumulang 4,000 indibidwal ang pansamantalang nanunuluyan sa 12 evacuation centers sa buong lalawigan.
Nananatili pa rin sa Alert Level 3 ang Bulkang Mayon. Patuloy ang pagbabantay ng mga awtoridad para sa posibleng paglabas ng pyroclastic flows at rockfalls.
