Honda Philippines Inc. closed calendar year 2025 with motorcycle sales that crossed the one-million mark, based on company figures released this week.

The company reported 1,041,237 units sold at retail and 1,044,510 units sold at wholesale for the year.

According to Honda, December stood out as the strongest month. Honda Philippines said it recorded 114,772 retail units sold during the month, the highest monthly figure in its local operating history.

The result capped a year of steady demand across urban centers and provincial markets.

Company data showed that sales were spread across scooters, underbones, and business-oriented motorcycles.

Five models accounted for a large share of total volume. These were the Click125, ADV160, BeAT, TMX125 Alpha and XRM125 DS.

The Click125 led both retail and wholesale sales and it remains a common sight in daily commutes, helped by its size, fuel use, and ease of ownership.

The ADV160 followed closely, driven by demand from riders who use their motorcycles for longer trips and mixed road conditions.

The BeAT continued to draw younger and first-time owners. Dealers cited its light weight and manageable dimensions as key reasons for its popularity.

In provincial areas, the XRM125 DS maintained its role as a multi-purpose motorcycle used on paved roads and rougher routes.

The TMX125 Alpha remained a workhorse for small businesses, delivery services and personal livelihood use.

The company said its 2025 performance reflected consistent demand rather than short-term buying spikes. Sales were supported by a wide dealer network and financing availability across regions.

The company operates hundreds of motorcycle dealerships nationwide, covering major cities and smaller towns.

Takeshi Kobayashi, president of Honda Philippines, said the sales results reflected continued customer confidence in the brand and its products.

He said the company would continue to focus on motorcycles that support daily transport, work, and personal use.

Industry observers note that motorcycles remain a primary mode of transport for many Filipinos.

Rising fuel costs and traffic congestion continue to influence buying decisions, with smaller displacement motorcycles playing a central role in mobility.

Moving into 2026, Honda Philippines said it plans to maintain its current product mix while responding to shifts in rider preferences.

The company did not announce new model launches in its statement but indicated that efficiency, safety, and comfort remain priorities.

The Philippine motorcycle market remains one of the largest in Southeast Asia by volume.

Honda Philippines has held the top market position for several years, supported by local demand for scooters and underbone models used for commuting and small-scale business.

The company’s full-year sales figures were released as part of its year-end performance update.
