Big things are in store for world-rated flyweight AJ Paciones.
The unbeaten Filipino puncher, holder of a 12-0-0 win-loss-draw card with seven knockouts, returns to action against fast-rising Nathaniel Dorona on 28 February at the Elorde Sports Center in Sucat, Parañaque.
Paciones fights out of VIVA Promotions and is being carefully groomed to figure in a world title fight.
In his last outing, Paciones, just 20, took out Jeraldine Oclarit during the Thrilla in Manila 50th year celebrations.
The Thrilla fight was extra-special since it was just Paciones’ second on home soil as he has fought extensively in Vietnam and Thailand.
He did his first two fights in Vietnam before bringing his wares to Thailand.
In total, the rangy Paciones saw action four times in Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon) and six times in Bangkok.
Currently, Paciones is rated No. 15 by the International Boxing Federation, No. 14 by the World Boxing Council and No. 9 by the World Boxing Organization.
Also backing up next week’s slugfest are Elorde UKC Promotions, SSC and Knuckleheads Pro Boxing Fraternity.
