Quezon City Police District (QCPD) Acting Director P/Col. Randy Glenn Silvio announced Tuesday the arrest of seven suspects, including one female, involved in a series of robbery hold-up incidents during a joint operation conducted by operatives of the QCPD and the Jaen Municipal Police Station (MPS), Nueva Ecija, of Police Regional Office (PRO) 3.
The arrested suspects were identified by their aliases as “Richard,” 61 years old, resident of Brgy. 171, Bagumbong, Caloocan City; “Raymond,” 38 years old, resident of Las Piñas City; “John,” 48 years old, resident of Imus, Cavite; “Jay-R,” 36 years old; “Manolito,” 30 years old; “Alvin,” 44 years old; and “Mariel,” 27 years old, the latter four all residents of Brgy. Greater Lagro, Quezon City.
Silvio said the suspects were nabbed at around 11:25 AM on January 12, 2026, by QCPD Pasong Putik Police Station (PS 16) operatives under P/Lt. Col. Gemmer Tubiera after they received a flash alarm from the QCPD District Tactical Operations Center (DTOC) regarding a Mitsubishi L300 van bearing plate number NKI 4600, allegedly used by the suspects in a series of robbery hold-up incidents. These included the Shell Gas Station in Katipunan, Blue Ridge A; the Unioil Gas Station along Congressional Avenue, Pasong Tamo, Quezon City; and an Alfamart in Brgy. Dampolan, Jaen, Nueva Ecija.
The reported motor vehicle was located at Block 12, Lot 10, Tinagba Street, Brgy. Greater Lagro, Quezon City, as tracked via GPS. Acting promptly on the information, joint operatives of the District Investigation Division (DID), District Mobile Force Battalion (DMFB), District Anti-Carnapping Unit (DACU), District Special Operations Unit (DSOU), DTOC, Project 4 Police Station (PS 8), Holy Spirit Police Station (PS 14), and PS 16, together with Jaen MPS, Nueva Ecija PRO 3, proceeded to the area, leading to the arrest of the suspects at 2:10 PM on the same day.
Recovered from the suspects were a steel vault stolen from an Alfamart in Nueva Ecija; crowbars and power tools; cellular phones; one (1) semi-automatic pistol; one (1) shotgun; assorted ammunition; an undetermined quantity of suspected shabu with drug paraphernalia; cash amounting to PhP 13,940.00 in different denominations; and the Mitsubishi L300 motor vehicle.
A records check revealed that alias “John Allan” had previous cases of robbery and violation of R.A. 10591 (Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act) in November 2025, as well as another violation of R.A. 10591 in September 2016.
The arrested suspects were turned over to Jaen MPS, PRO 3, for the filing of appropriate charges, while QCPD will file charges for Robbery Hold-Up and violations of R.A. 10591 and R.A. 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002).
Silvio commended the QCPD operatives and said, “the successful arrest of these suspects is a testament to the dedication, vigilance, and coordination of our police units. Through this operation, we were able to dismantle the criminal group and prevent further harm to the public.”
