An unidentified man was found dead along the roadside of Sitio Aduas in Barangay San Jose, Antipolo City, on Sunday morning, 11 January.
Police said the victim’s hands were tied and that he sustained gunshot wounds to the head and body.
The victim was wearing a red T-shirt and blue-and-pink jersey shorts. He was described as small-built and about five feet two inches tall.
He has yet to be identified as of this writing.
According to a report from the Antipolo Component City Police Station, personnel from Police Community Precinct 3 received information from a barangay tanod at around 10:10 a.m. regarding the discovery of a cadaver.
Responding police officers immediately proceeded to the area and confirmed the presence of an unidentified man lying on the side of the road with apparent gunshot wounds to the head and body. The victim was also found handcuffed.
The area where the body was discovered is a wooded location far from residential houses.
Police are conducting follow-up investigations, including the search for possible witnesses and nearby CCTV footage, to determine the identity of the victim and the circumstances surrounding the incident.
