The Clark International Airport Corporation (CIAC) is exploring a potential partnership with Unilab Inc. for the planned Pharmaceutical Hub at the Clark Aviation Capital.

The meeting was held at the CIAC office inside the Clark Freeport Zone on 5 January.

Representing Unilab Inc. were Assistant Vice President and Public Relations and Partnerships Division Head Claire D. Papa, together with Public Relations and Partnerships Officer Dina D. Visda. They met with CIAC President and CEO Jojit Alcazar, CIAC Director Noel Tulabut, and other CIAC officials.

Discussions centered on Unilab’s potential participation in the proposed Pharmaceutical Hub, which aims to establish a pharmaceutical logistics and distribution center equipped with advanced air cargo handling and cold chain capabilities, enhancing nationwide access to medicines and healthcare services.

The Clark Aviation Capital is a 2,367-hectare development zone surrounding Clark International Airport (CRK) in Pampanga. It is managed by CIAC, a subsidiary of Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA).

CIAC aims to transform the area into a global aviation, logistics, and commerce hub, integrating aviation, trade, and sustainable urban development to boost the Philippine economy and help decongest Metro Manila.

Among CIAC’s flagship projects are the National Food Hub, logistics facilities, and a convention center—initiatives designed to create jobs, attract investment, and support agricultural trade.

The proposed Pharmaceutical Logistics and Distribution Hub is envisioned as a major center for medicine logistics, leveraging Clark’s air cargo infrastructure to strengthen healthcare access across the country.
