San Vicente Health Center gets upgrade
Published on

SM Foundation turned over the newly renovated San Vicente Health Center on Friday, a facility upgraded to serve approximately 15,000 residents from four surrounding neighborhoods.

The renovation was completed in partnership with the local government of Quezon City to meet Department of Health (DoH) standards. The upgrades allow the center to apply for accreditation as a primary care facility.

Improvements to the center include expanded waiting areas, upgraded consultation rooms, a pharmacy, and a dental clinic. The foundation also added dedicated spaces for pregnant women, children, and elderly patients, alongside a breastfeeding area.

Additionally, the facility has been equipped with DigiKonsulta, a digital health service tool.

City health officials said the modernized center is expected to encourage preventive care by providing a more accessible venue for immunizations, maternal childcare, and routine medical consultations.

Coinciding with the turnover, SM Foundation conducted a medical mission that provided free checkups, X-rays, and electrocardiograms to more than 300 residents. SM Retail also distributed health kits to families and toys to local students.

The San Vicente Health Center marks the 225th health facility completed by SM Foundation nationwide and the 10th such project within Quezon City.
