The Supreme Court (SC) has invited the country’s youngest artists to take part in a nationwide poster-making contest in celebration of its 125th anniversary.

The competition, titled “Imagine a Just World,” is open to elementary school students from Grades 1 to 6 and aims to encourage children to express ideas of justice and fairness through visual art.

The High Court said the initiative seeks to promote civic awareness among the youth by translating legal and social values into creative expression.

To encourage participation from across the country, the SC is offering several incentives. Winners stand to receive cash prizes of up to P125,000, while selected artworks will be featured in a special commemorative coloring book. Winning entries will also be exhibited at the Supreme Court in Manila, followed by a formal awarding ceremony.

The Court said it will adopt a digital-first approach for the initial phase of the competition. The online submission platform will open in January 2026, with all entries due on or before 28 February 2026.

The poster-making contest marks a rare effort by the judiciary to directly engage young Filipinos, using the Court’s milestone anniversary to foster early appreciation of justice, fairness, and civic responsibility through art.
