Ahead of the Feast of the Black Nazarene’s main procession on 9 January 2026, Quiapo Church released the official schedule of novenas, masses, and related activities leading up to the annual religious event.
With the theme "Dapat Siyang Tumaas at Ako Nama'y Bumaba" (He Must Increase, and I Too Shall Decrease), the celebration will formally begin at midnight on 31 December 2025 with a thanksgiving procession.
Daily masses with novena will also start on the same date and run until 8 January, including the First Friday Mass on 2 January.
Barangay visitations across the Quiapo District are scheduled from 2 to 6 January, alongside various activities such as the blessing of the replica of the Jesus Nazareno and the Estandarte on 3 January.
The traditional pabihis of the image will take place on 7 January, while fiesta masses will begin on the afternoon of 8 January.
Activities at the Quirino Grandstand will also start on 7 January, including the troop send-off, a mass for volunteers, and the traditional pahalik, or veneration of the image through kissing its foot.
A band parade is scheduled at the grandstand on 8 January, while the Misa Mayor will be held at midnight on 9 January, followed by the Panalangin sa Bukang-Liwayway (Prayers at Dawn).
