Ellen Adarna chooses stillness over romance

In an era where celebrity lives are often measured by constant reinvention and public relationships, Ellen Adarna is taking an unexpected—and deeply intentional—turn. The actress recently revealed that she has committed to a long-term period of celibacy, a personal decision rooted not in spectacle or superstition, but in self-preservation and clarity.

Addressing online chatter sparked by a seer’s claim about her future romantic life, Ellen made it clear that love, at least for now, is not part of her plan. Her response was calm, firm, and unmistakably self-aware. “I committed to five years of celibacy, renewable every five years,” she shared. “If it works, I continue. If it doesn’t, the purpose and goal were still fulfilled.”

Rather than framing the choice as a reaction to heartbreak, Ellen described it as a conscious act of healing following her highly publicised separation from actor Derek Ramsay. She emphasised that this pause is not driven by fear or avoidance, but by a need to restore balance within herself. “This isn’t about fear. It’s about healing my nervous system,” she explained. “I’m choosing regulation over rushing.”

At the heart of her decision is a desire to create stability—for herself and, more importantly, for her children. Ellen acknowledged that the commitment she has made now extends longer than her previous marriage, a comparison that underscores the seriousness of her resolve. By stepping away from romantic pursuits, she is choosing presence over distraction, and grounding over impulse.

For Ellen, time itself is part of the healing process. She is in no hurry to redefine her future or to fill the silence with new beginnings. “Wait until the dust settles,” she said, signalling a belief that clarity arrives not through action, but through patience.

In sharing this chapter openly, Ellen Adarna reframes celibacy not as deprivation, but as agency—a reminder that choosing oneself can be the most radical decision of all.
