Former child actor Tylor Chase, known for his role as Martin Qwerly on the Nickelodeon series Ned’s Declassified School Survival Guide, was recently helped into temporary shelter after being found living on the streets in Riverside, California.

According to Mirror UK, Chase’s former co-star Daniel Curtis Lee stepped in after videos circulated on TikTok showing Chase appearing distressed and unhoused. Lee, who played Simon “Cookie” Nelson-Cook on the show, shared updates on social media, saying Chase was “well fed and safe from the rain.”

In an Instagram post, Lee documented taking Chase to a pizza restaurant before checking him into a local hotel. He also arranged a FaceTime call between Chase and fellow cast member Devon Werkheiser, who starred as Ned Bigby in the series.

“He trusted an old friend,” Lee said, explaining that the decision was made to ensure Chase had basic shelter amid rainy weather. He added that he plans to continue helping him get back on his feet.

The viral footage sparked an outpouring of concern from fans who grew up watching the series, which aired from 2004 to 2007. Many expressed sadness and raised broader conversations about the long-term impact of childhood fame, mental health struggles, and financial instability.

A GoFundMe page was briefly launched to assist Chase, raising more than $1,200, but it was later shut down by his mother, who said her son has bipolar disorder and ongoing financial difficulties, the report said.

After Ned’s Declassified, Chase had minor acting roles, including appearances in Everybody Hates Chris, Good Time Max, and later L.A. Noire, before stepping away from the spotlight.
