Pop superstar Mariah Carey has been announced as a featured performer at the opening ceremony of the 2026 Winter Olympics in Milan, Italy.
The Grammy-winning singer will take the stage on 6 February 2026 at Milan’s San Siro Stadium.
Carey confirmed the news in a social media announcement, inviting fans with an Italian greeting, “Ci vediamo a Milano! (See you in Milan).”
Organizers called her music a unifying force that matches the ceremony’s theme of harmony as athletes from around the world gather for the global event.
As the first major international artist named for the ceremony, Carey joins a tradition of high-profile performers at Olympic openers, following appearances by stars such as Lady Gaga and Céline Dion at recent Games.
The 2026 Winter Olympics will run from 6 to 22 February across northern Italy.
