Six members of the Marvin Acosta robbery-holdup group were arrested after police conducted a follow-up operation in Barangay Pungo, Calumpit, Bulacan, on 18 December 2025.
According to the Bulacan Police Provincial Office (BPPO), the suspects were involved in a robbery-holdup incident at a gasoline station in the same area.
Calumpit Municipal Police Station (MPS) chief Police Lt. Col. Leopoldo L. Estorque Jr. said initial investigation showed that four armed suspects approached the establishment and declared a holdup, threatening its employees.
The suspects took P7,000 in cash and two cellular phones before fleeing toward Barangay Sucol aboard a Yamaha Sniper motorcycle without a plate number.
Personnel of the Calumpit MPS, together with the Bulacan Provincial Intelligence Unit, immediately launched a follow-up operation. Using the victim’s iCloud account and backtracking CCTV footage, police were able to pinpoint the suspects’ location in Purok 3, Barangay Sucol, Calumpit, leading to the arrest of six individuals.
The suspects were identified as Ashlie, Glen, Vin, Ben, Alex, and Xander, all allegedly members of the Marvin Acosta robbery-holdup group believed to be involved in a series of similar incidents in Bulacan.
Seized from the suspects were a Yamaha Sniper motorcycle, a Bajaj motorcycle with sidecar, a caliber .45 firearm with magazine and five rounds of ammunition, eight sachets of suspected shabu, an ice pick, a toy gun, two cellular phones, cash, and other paraphernalia.
The suspects are currently in the custody of the Calumpit MPS for proper documentation.
Charges of robbery in band and violation of Section 11, Article II of Republic Act No. 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, are being prepared before the Office of the Provincial Prosecutor in Malolos City, Bulacan.
